Arizona Natural Remedies, Inc. (ANR) announced earlier this week that the company, an affiliate of Vireo Health International, has now completed its new facility expansion just south of Tucson. The company added a 9-acres Shade House to its existing Arizona Cannabis Cultivation Facility, and this new addition immediately elevates Vireo to address the imbalance of adult-use cannabis supply and demand in the state of Arizona.

Vireo Health International, Inc., which already had one of the largest cultivation facilities in the state of Arizona, now expects that this new nine-acre addition will increase their cannabis flower output capacity by at least fivefold. The company demonstrated considerable foresight last summer in breaking ground on the new expansion of their cultivation facility even before Arizona voters approved the legalization of adult-use cannabis in the state.

Vireo Founder and CEO Dr. Kyle Kingsley commented earlier this week, “Our expansion in Arizona represents another strategic investment to drive growth in one of our core markets. With the rapid legalization of adult-use cannabis, the state is facing a potential shortage of cannabis flower. Our expanded facilities and additional growing acreage will create a real opportunity for Vireo Health in Arizona.”

With the completion of the new 9-acre expansion, the Arizona facility becomes the largest cultivation site in Vireo Health’s five core markets. As an added bonus, the new acreage under cultivation now will create up to 45 new jobs just in the first year alone. Arizona Natural Remedies also announced recently that the company is now offering the option of medical cannabis home delivery to its customers in the Phoenix area.
