Grab a bag of chips and get these dip recipes ready for the big games this weekend
Company coming over for the game and you don’t feel like cooking? Here are a couple of tasty, super easy to put together, cannabis-infused dips that you can make the night before or early in the morning. They are both actually better if given time to develop the flavors.
Ganja Guacamole
Ingredients:
4 ripe avocados, cut in half, remove the seed and scoop out the avocado
1 cucumber, peeled, cut in quarters lengthwise and remove seeds. Chop fine.
½ C chopped green onions, chop both white and green parts fine
2 cloves of garlic, mashed, remove green middle stem and mince fine
½ C cannabis infused olive oil
1 jalapeño pepper, cut in half, remove seeds and chop fine
½ C chopped cilantro or parsley chopped fine
Juice from 2 limes
1 t salt
Directions:
There are 2 options here.
The first is to put everything in a blender or food processer and blend until smooth, or, for Chunky Guacamole, put everything in a large bowl and mix well. Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container. Place plastic wrap over the top of the guacamole and press it down to be touching the entire surface of the dip. This will keep it from turning black and ugly. Best used within one day.
Easy Cheesy Chip Dip
1 16 oz container of sour cream
2 C grated cheddar cheese
8 oz cream cheese, softened at room temperature
2 small cans of Mex-Corn
1 med. bag of corn tortilla chips
Put all ingredients into a bowl larger than you think you will need and mix well with a wooden spoon. Place in serving bowl, cover well with plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator. This dip is better if made the night before and left in the refrigerator overnight to allow the flavors to marry. Take the dip out of the refrigerator about an hour before game time. Stir well and garnish with parsley or other whatever green you have around. Place a couple of nice serving bowls on the table and fill one with tortilla chips and the other with chips of your choice. It is always best to have a couple of extra bags of chips in reserve.
Serve a small bowl of jalapeño peppers if you like.
