Science reveals the secrets behind the ability of cannabis to improve mental health

Cannabis has different compounds that provide different benefits to the body. Some of these, like cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) often overlap, but science is showing how each works individually and how. For example, both CBD and THC can target mental health, but CBD is the better option because it doesn’t contain the psychoactive properties associated with THC.

CBD oil and CBD-infused products are becoming very popular and for good reason. The World Health Organization has continuously pointed out that CBD doesn’t contain properties that could make it addictive.

CBD is also being found to be able to help treat other neurological disorders, including Alzheimer’s and dementia. Since it doesn’t cause drowsiness or fatigue, it can be extremely advantageous as a form of treatment for people of all ages, young to old. This is an important revelation and one that could ultimately help tens of thousands of individuals around the world.
