With a multibillion-dollar potential, the cannabis beverage industry has a strong future

The cannabis beverage market is gaining extraordinary momentum, especially during these months when marijuana legalization is on the rise in many states across the country. A landmark piece of legislation to legalize marijuana at the federal level will come up for a vote tomorrow before the House Judiciary Committee. Depending on the outcome, many things could change. Given this great news and the positive momentum we are seeing in the cannabis beverage sector, especially with the popularity of cannabidiol (CBD), it makes sense that many investors want to put their money into these companies, and best of all, there are three options that could pay off for them in the future.

First, there is the giant Tilray, which, having completed its merger with Aphria four months ago, became one of the largest combinations in the history of the industry. The company is now considered the largest globally and stands a good chance of sustainable success in the Canadian cannabis sector and expanding overseas. The company has a large stake in the cannabis-infused beverage industry through a partnership with Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer by volume and revenue.

Then there is NewAge, known for its line of health drinks. However, it also has a large stake in the cannabis space through its CBD-infused beverages. A little less than five years ago, the company licensed rights to certain Marley’s ready-to-drink beverages, a product that has so far been a great success.

And finally, there is HEXO Corp, the Canadian cannabis producer that has also been inclined to be part of the beverage market. Although over the past few months the company has not been doing so well, its adult-beverage business is certainly an extraordinary point. Truss CBD USA, a joint venture between HEXO and Molson Coors Beverage, is responsible for operating five different beverage brands, all of which are proving incredibly successful at the moment.
