April 20 is approaching fast
For the first time in almost 100 years, one in five Americans lives in a state that has legalized adult cannabis use. This is going to be especially poignant this year, as April 20, or 4/20 to those who prefer, will be showered with events that will see participation at levels never experienced before.
Florida recently pulled back on its strict marijuana guidelines. This is going to prove to be extremely important in ten days when the Kaya Fest 2019 is held. The event is organized by the Marley Family and will be held at Bayfront Park in Miami.
Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado is going to host an incredible concert. Coming to the stage are cannabis ambassadors Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube and it promises to be an “unforgettable concert experience.”
The National Cannabis Festival (NCF) isn’t settling for just one day – it will roll out events for an entire week. The show will be held in Washington, D.C. starting this Friday and will include an array of excitement, including concerts by Ludacris and Action Bronson.
Coming to the Cal Fair Expo in Sacramento, CA, the High Times Cannabis Cup will run 4/20 and 4/21. On hand will be King Kahali, Schoolboy Q, Too $hort and Soulja Boy, among others. Up to an ounce of cannabis is legal in California, and attendees are more than welcome to bring their own supplies.
The Spliff Film Festival, which is about to start a tour around the U.S., will land in Portland, OR on 4/20. The festival allows filmmakers and artists, as well as consumers, share their original short films and, according to the festival’s website, runs the gambit from “serious takes on pot culture to stoner comedy to mind-blowing weirdness.”
