The holidays are always stressful, but cannabis can make things easier

The cannabis industry has already reached a point where it is in the mouths of many Americans on a daily basis. With the holidays approaching, including Thanksgiving celebrated today, many people are beginning to suffer from symptoms caused by stress. Running from store to store, worrying about the vacations, knowing that there are more expenses being incurred during this time of year, are all factors that can take a toll on our calm. However, according to a survey by Ayr Wellness, people have opened up about their consumption and say they can survive these challenges more pleasantly when cannabis is in the equation.

The findings were part of a national study conducted by real-time consumer intelligence platform Suzy in partnership with vertically integrated US multi-state cannabis operator Ayr. The nationally representative study, conducted this month, surveyed more than 1,300 Americans about their beliefs, consumption habits, and purchasing patterns related to Green Wednesday (the industry’s second-largest sales day in 2020) and the vacations.

“Over the past decade, cannabis has become increasingly ingrained into the fabric of American culture and tradition, with cannabis sales on Green Wednesday reaching new heights every year,” said Jonathan Sandelman, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Ayr Wellness.

According to the results obtained at the end of the day, it was determined that the consumption of the plant becomes even more common during this time of year, as it is considered a useful resource to manage family dynamics during the vacations, making stress reduced and productivity raised to another level.

According to the data, at least 25% of Americans find it stressful to see extended family during vacations, yet 15% of all parents would include cannabis in their routine to deal with the stress related to it all.
