The Colorado-based education platform is adding new topics to its cannabis curriculum

The cannabis industry, while not enjoying different benefits that traditional industries do, knows that quality education and training of workers are vital elements for its growth. Colorado-based Learn Brands wants to do its part and believes that providing an educational platform can be a very useful tool in training the cannabis industry. The company intends to include brand training, general education and a university qualification management system in order to create better training internally.

Learn Brands has reportedly provided more than 60,000 hours of training to more than 17,000 cannabis industry employees, as well as helping more than 1,100 dispensaries and 200 brands through its platform. In addition, the company has issued $2.5 million in rebates in 15 states ranging from California to New Jersey. In an effort to continue to be a successful tool in the growth of the industry, Learn Brands announced its expansion of cannabis worker training with new general education courses such as the Science of Cannabis and Introduction to Cannabis.

The company also implemented a Responsible Vendor Training (RVT) program that is currently being used in Massachusetts to meet state compliance requirements. Brian Adams, founder and CEO of Hudson Botanical Processing, says the RVT program has provided his employees with exponential training. “Learn Brands’ Massachusetts RVT training gave our team members the ability to work at their own pace outside of the classroom, and the coursework was interactive and engaging,” said Adams. “We’re seeing better retention and getting positive feedback from them about the RVT training online.”
