The company will launch its activities in the third quarter of this year

Natura Life + Science out of California has just wrapped up a funding round that sought capital to help construct a major cannabis campus in the state. The round was successful, with the company receiving $91 million in private financing for what is being billed as the “largest vertically integrated cannabis campus in California.” The facility, the first of many expected to be built by Natura, will cover 265,000 square feet and will cover a range of cannabis capabilities. Natura hopes to begin its operations this fall and will start cultivating early next year.

Natura will offer cultivation, manufacturing, extraction, wholesale packaging, distribution and a delivery-only dispensary. The company’s founder and CEO, Ori Bytton, explains, “Natura’s first campus will be the largest, most high-tech, and sustainable operation of its kind in the state for contract manufacturing, education and end-to-end services. Natura’s innovative new platform is centered around the needs of growing cannabis brands and entrepreneurs. Our goals are to manufacture products that are high-quality, clean and safe, to help businesses scale, not fail, and help companies build trust in their brands.”

Natura will ensure that its products meet high-quality standards in its LEED-certified facility and grounds. Bytton adds, “The most successful brands in the industry are the ones that produce a standardized product, with a consistently enjoyable experience every time. We’re here to advance the industry and pave the way for consumers and patients from all walks of life to benefit from this plant. This will require a new approach to infrastructure, and a commitment to education.”

The first facility will be able to produce over 80,000 pounds of dried flower and process more than 750,000pounds of dry material. Natura has already secured conditional use permits for its different business operations and has applications submitted for 19 corresponding licenses.
