A child suffering from brain cancer found permanent relief in the form of marijuana

A desperate mother searching for a cure for her daughter’s brain cancer and apparently found it in marijuana. The Michigan woman has launched a campaign to let everyone know that her concoction of marijuana and coconut oil has helped her daughter get rid of her epilepsy seizures, nullify the requirement of chemotherapy and will make her be cancer-free for life.

After seeing her daughter’s brain cancer return three times, the mother knew it was time to act. She didn’t want to submit her child to any more brain surgeries, no more chemotherapy and no more radiation. After doing some research, she created a recipe that includes marijuana and coconut oil that, according to her, has helped her daughter stay healthy for the past two years – no cancer, no epilepsy, no chemotherapy.

Not everyone is convinced that the method works. The American Cancer Society (ACS) has said that it isn’t possible to cure cancer with marijuana, but the same group also says that the only benefits come by smoking or eating the plant. It has been wrong before and will more than likely be wrong again.

Regardless of whether or not there is overwhelming support for marijuana as a cancer treatment, there is mounting evidence that it actually does work. A number of studies have already shown there to be some degree of cancer relief from marijuana, but more studies are needed.

The ACS even acknowledges as much, which makes its assertion that there’s no evidence more baffling. The organization states, “A number of small studies of smoked marijuana found that it can be helpful in treating nausea and vomiting from cancer chemotherapy. A few studies have found that inhaled (smoked or vaporized) marijuana can be helpful treatment of neuropathic pain (pain caused by damaged nerves). Smoked marijuana has also helped improve food intake in HIV patients in studies. There are no studies in people of the effects of marijuana oil or hemp oil.”

Perhaps the ACS needs to invest in some of those studies before arbitrarily stating that hemp and marijuana oil cannot help cancer patients.
