Martha Stewart has rapidly become the face of the cannabis industry

As a sign of this, Canadian cannabis producer Canopy Growth Corp. announced yesterday that it has appointed Stewart as an official strategic advisor to the company. The move is part of the company’s larger business strategy as it works to position itself as the true leader in the cannabis space and, in particular, the cannabidiol (CBD) segment.

“Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia” is currently the brand led by the entrepreneur, and her products can now be found in more than 70 million US households. This means that Stewart has been able to handle her business very well, especially when it comes to cannabis. That same knowledge she will now employ in her advisory role, targeting everything from product innovation to format development and strategic partnerships. This appointment comes on the heels of the launch of Martha Stewart CBD’s Canopy in partnership with Marquee Brands last fall and Martha Stewart CBD for Pets earlier this year.
