A twist on a popular beverage, made better with CBD
Tea is a known source of antioxidants and nutrients, making it a potent addition to any health regimen. Matcha, which is nothing more than powdered tea leaves, delivers even more benefits and helps keep the energy levels up for longer. Now, combining matcha with cannabidiol (CBD) offers yet another boost and has the added benefit of CBD’s anti-inflammatory and anti-anxiety properties. This Limeade recipe, provided by Monica Lo, could be just what the doctor ordered.
To prepare the drink, you will need:
2 cups water
3 tsp matcha
4 oz fresh lime juice
2 Tbsp CBD Honey
4 large mint leaves
Mint, to garnish
Lime wedges, to garnish
Lo adds that she is partial to Potli Hemp Infused Raw Honey, but any CBD honey will work.
Combine all ingredients except the garnish in a blender and blend until well mixed. Pour over ice and garnish with the mint and lime wedges. The recipe will yield two servings.
Both coffee and tea provide a certain amount of caffeine; however, matcha delivers a lesser amount that can help many people avoid the caffeine jitters. It will give an “uplifting” feeling that won’t be followed by the “crash” typically associated with too much coffee.
