Largest vertically-integrated cannabis operator opens for business in Massachusetts

The cultivation and manufacturing company is ready to take over the industry

During the MJBizCon event, one of the most respected global trade shows in the industry, yesterday, an announcement was made from one of the largest cannabis businesses. ecofarm is a business dedicated to cultivation, manufacturing and distribution operation in Massachusetts, and it confirmed that a new facility would be opening in Leicester, MA that will be the largest in the country. ecofarm is determined to be the leader in cannabis cultivation and processing.

This facility will have 100,00 square foot and it will be operating as a Tier 11 business. The business will function as a Marijuana cultivator and product manufacturer. The construction has a 55,000 square area for cultivation, with possible expansion to 100,000 based on the license scope. It will also count with a full-scale extraction lab, a large commercial kitchen and an are destined for packaging.

The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission has already awarded provisional licenses for the business to operate. This vertically-integrated company has three experienced leaders starting with Executive Chairman Robert A. Sigel, who also served as President and CEO of Millbrook Distribution Services, CEO Joshua Sigel and CFO Liam Rafferty, with great experience in the wholesale distribution area of consumer packaged goods, as well as technology and finance.
