Coral Reefer cannabis is now available
First announced in September of last year, Jimmy Buffett has lent his band’s name to the marijuana industry. Coral Reefer cannabis was an obvious choice, as any Parrothead would acknowledge, and the brand has now finally gone live. Buffett was out promoting the brand on 4/20 (of course), popping around Pensacola, FL to celebrate the medical marijuana products.
Coral Reefer has been created with the help of Surterra Wellness, the company that opened a marijuana dispensary in Pensacola in 2017. That shop began offering Coral Reefer products last Friday, including its vaporizers, vape pens, tropical-themed merchandise and more.
Buffett explained in a recent press release, “It never dawned on me that Coral Reefer would be anything other than a cool name for a tropical band born out of the Key West lifestyle in the mid 70s. But life is supposed to be about having fun and staying healthy enough to enjoy it. I think Coral Reefer will help a lot of folks do that.”
The Coral Reefer line of cannabis products is made with terpene profiles that offer a tropical flavor and experience, in keeping with Buffett’s unique style of music and appreciation for life in general. Names like “Seas the Day,” “Cabana Daydreamin’” and “Surfin’ in a Hurricane” are reminiscent of Buffett’s creative music and will appeal to a great number of cannabis users.
Mary Rachide, Surterra’s president of new ventures, asserts, “This brand was developed with effects in mind first. We thought about what we wanted the patients to feel when they were using the product. Be it mild relaxation, be it fast-acting relief from acute pain, and we married that up through the terpene profiles.”
