These DIY snacks are simple to make and pack a plethora of health benefits

Even though cannabis is slowly separating itself from its old stigma, there is still some of it left and using cannabis to make traditional edibles might be ideal to introduce cannabidiol (CBD) to your loved ones. Gummies are always a hit with everyone, and infusing them with CBD can really be a people-pleaser.

Homemade CBD Gummies

Preparation: 40-55 minutes (Good for 120 gummy bears)

Ingredients

-16 oz of a Raspberry Lemonade
-1 T of honey (or your preferred sweetener)
-2 and 1/3 T gelatin
-1/2 C cold water
-1/2 t Sunflower / Soy Lecithin (liquid lecithin) (Optional)
-3.5 grams of CBD isolate or 70 ml of a 25 mg potency CBD oil

For cooking these gummy bears, you will need a gummy bear mold and dropper, as well as a measuring cup with a spout.

Preparation

With the stove on low heat, add the water, the CBD and the sunflower or soy lecithin into the pot. Start stirring the mixture until a consistent texture has been reached and then add the gelatin while continuing to stir. Continue to whisk on low heat for around 10-15 minutes non-stop until all of the gelatin has dissolved. Make sure the mixture does not reach its boiling point — the temperature should be maintained in 225 F or less to avoid any burning. Once all the ingredients are properly combined, remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes to cool down. This is the moment to place the mixture in a dropper or measuring cup with a spout, and speed is necessary to keep the liquids from separating. Once in the mold, place it in the freezer for 20-25 minutes and jostle just a little before the freezer to remove any bubbles. After that, remove and enjoy.
