Hemp tea finds a place in health and wellness programs

Although hemp contains CBD, there’s a difference between hemp tea and CBD tea

As companies search for new ways to incorporate the benefits of hemp products in their offerings, the boom of hemp tea in the health and wellness sector should come as no surprise. If you chose to drink hemp tea for its health benefits, we recommend looking for a high-quality hemp tea instead of a poor imitation that won’t offer the full benefits. Since cannabidiol (CBD) extracted from the hemp plant many people become confused, thinking these terms were interchangeable. CBD tea can confuse you, but just means the tea contains CBD, which has often just been added to an herbal tea product.

Hemp tea is made with many different extracts from the hemp plant, and while it does contain CBD it also has more than 100 other cannabinoids that work together to increase the effects of CBD. The other components include flavonoids, terpenes, vitamins, minerals and omega fatty acids. If you want the full benefits of drinking hemp tea, CBD tea won’t do it. It needs to be hemp tea, hopefully organic, rich in cannabinoids, and contain a large proportion of actual hemp plant matter.

Remember, this is your health your talking about, and if you are looking to improve your wellness, you should make sure you are going for the real deal and drinking high-quality hemp tea. You will have options ranging from mild herbal hemp to boosted hemp teas with additional herbs and flavors. Let your taste buds be your guide; just make sure your tea is made with hemp and not just CBD.
