There are benefits to grow-your-own stock
In areas where home marijuana cultivation has been legalized, it might be a good idea for some to consider growing their own, instead of relying on dispensaries. There are a number of reasons why, including the ability to control what products interact with the crops and the benefits of enjoying something homegrown alongside the summer squash and tomatoes. The process is also much easier than most might think.
Homegrown cannabis can be a huge plus for those on a limited budget. The prices are only a fraction of what they are at dispensaries and it isn’t necessary to leave the home to grab a quick afternoon treat. According to Danny Danko, a marijuana cultivator and editor of High Times magazine, “Six small outdoor plants should yield 8-10 ounces of dried buds, so you’re looking at approximately 3 pounds total at the end of the season, and if you grow large outdoor plants, they could yield a pound or more each.”
The quality of the product will be much better, as well. Given that a number of states are dealing with issues surrounding faked lab tests or pesticides, a personal supply of marijuana will always be controlled to be healthier and safer.
For those with green thumbs who like to tinker in the garden, cultivating marijuana should be a no-brainer. It is a great way to pass the time and watch the fruits of your labor.
Getting started is easy – it only requires a few buds of your favorite strains and the right environmental conditions. It is literally something that almost anyone could do and is a fun project to enjoy.
