For Turkey Day: Sweet potato marijuana pie

Sweet potato pie just got a little better

Growing up, I knew that I could look forward to one thing every Thanksgiving – my grandfather’s sweet potato pie. It was his specialty, made with a secret ingredient that gave it an incredible flavor and was made with sweet potatoes he grew in his own garden. Now, there’s a new twist to the age-old recipe that will make the flavor even better – add a bit of marijuana. Here’s what you’ll need:

Filling ingredients:

4 T. melted cannabis butter
A little bit of cannabis butter for the baking dish
3 C. mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 C. cannabis milk
1/4 C. packed brown sugar
1 t. pure vanilla extract
1/2 t. salt
2 large eggs

Topping ingredients:

1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1/2 C. packed brown sugar
4 T. melted cannabis butter
1/4 t. salt
3/4 C. chopped pecans

First, preheat the oven to 350°. Using the cannabis butter, butter a two-quart baking dish. Whisk the filling ingredients together in a large bowl and then pour them into the dish.

Next, combine all of the topping ingredients, except the pecans, until moist. Once the mixture clumps together, add the pecans and spread the mixture over the filling evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes and enjoy.
