The company has partnered with a local company to introduce new products next year

Dixie Brands Inc. has just confirmed its current plan to take their business to a new market. Oklahoma’s medical marijuana market is expected to receive Dixie’s products by January 2020 with the help of a licensed partner, which has requested to remain confidential for now. The company’s intellectual property will be used for the creation of products like gummies, mints, topicals and Dixie’s flagship elixirs. Oklahoma is one of the states in which the cannabis business has been growing exponentially with over 1,700 dispensaries across the state.

Even though Dixie currently has a great working relationship with their licensees Globus Holdings, they made the difficult decision to get into the market with an already established manufacturer. The reason is so they could have everything ready to launch in less time and also to take advantage of the distribution opportunities. “We are excited to enter into this agreement with such a well-established partner to introduce Dixie products to Oklahoma,” said Chuck Smith, CEO of Dixie Brands. He added, “The state has embraced legal cannabis over the past year, and we have high expectations for our comprehensive portfolio of award-winning products within such an established distribution network offering real speed to market.”

Oklahoma continues to be an example of efficiency in applying the law. Since its cannabis legalization in October 2018, it has granted over 1,700 different licenses for businesses to operate as well as registered over 200,000 patients according to the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority. Now Dixie will continue to expand their business to more states, as Oklahoma was just the sixth in the list.
