Cresco Labs hires former Miller Life marketing director Greg Butler

The long-time marketing executive will become the cannabis company’s new chief commercial officer

The former marketing director of Miller Lite, Greg Buttler, has been hired by Cresco Labs to be its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in the US. This Harvard Business School graduate is thrilled about this newly created position that will open new doors and reinforces Cresco Lab’s “steadfast commitment to building the most important cannabis company,” according to a press release. Cresco Labs is one of the largest vertically integrated cannabis operators and has a presence in many states across the US.

“I’m most energized by the opportunity to support the entrepreneurism of small companies in hyper-growth mode with the discipline and proven strategies of large CPG brands,” said Butler. “Cresco Labs is reimagining the way consumers and patients look at the cannabis industry, and I’m excited to be part of its extraordinary mission and enhance the impact the company has already made.” He can bring his experience in driving band growth for huge companies such as Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Molson Coors. Butler also has experience managing wellness retail execution for Walgreens.

This new CCO position will assign him with responsibilities to manage the demand and commercial strategic planning. Other functions included are to recruit talent, leading new product launches and driving the enterprise to manifests the company’s vision.
