Celebrating Halloween in Vegas with cannabis

Sin City is perfect for a Halloween party

Nevada now allows personal marijuana consumption, but only in private. This may seem like a buzz-kill for joining cannabis with the party atmosphere of Las Vegas, especially for Halloween, but there are still ways to mix the two and show off the marijuana spirit.

While in Sin City, check out Cannabition. It’s the world’s first art installation that follows the journey of marijuana’s integration into the local culture. It’s also home to the world’s largest bong.

The Artisan Hotel on W. Sahara Ave. is the perfect adults-only hotel. Everything about the hotel is about alternative lifestyles and the owners have established an atmosphere that is full of character. On All Hallows Eve, it will be part of the Cocktail City’s Haunted Hotel Party, including live music, an open bar and much more. It is also rumored to be very marijuana-friendly.

The dispensary The+Source is holding a costume contest that began last Friday and runs through Halloween. Show up, have your picture taken and wait for the judging. The top three winners will be chosen on Halloween and will win prizes that include concentrates, flower and disposable pens.

A number of dispensaries and venues throughout the city are offering discounts on their treats. From cookies to gummies and from chocolates to infused pumpkin spice cake bites, there’s an endless supply of possibilities.

After a night of festivities, finish off the party at Planet 13 – the first mega-dispensary in Las Vegas. It will open for the first time on November 1 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony of its 112,000-square-foot store. There will be guest vendors, food trucks and a complete after-party party to bring to a close the Halloween period.
