Colgate Palmolive has purchased a CBD oral care company

It is clear that, with all the projections and the fast growth of the cannabis market, the big corporations dedicated to other sectors will be trying to enter the cannabis market to grab a piece of the action. It has been more like a trend that giant companies opt for acquiring cannabis-related companies that are already positioned to enter the market. This is the case of personal care giant Colgate Palmolive, which just announced a new acquisition of a cannabidiol (CBD) oral care company named Hello Products, which was founded back in 2012.

Among the products that Hello Products commercializes are CBD-infused toothpaste and a mouth rinse, as well as toothbrushes and lip balms. These products are being sold in more than 44,000 retail locations in the US with at least 1,000 of them are Ulta Beauty Stores. “We have great respect for the Hello team and their impressive product line, and value the strong connection they have made with younger consumers,” said Colgate’s President and CEO.

Hello has several years of experience and several products in the market with its core being all-natural products. Back in February, the company launched its CBD line of products, and it also has a range of products that have hemp seed oil and hemp extract.

Analysts have predicted that, by 2024, the CBD global health market dedicated to beauty could be worth $959 million, based on the $710 million reported in 2018. L’oreal and Estee Lauder are other beauty companies that have entered the cannabis market through the acquisition of smaller companies dedicated to CBD products. This is good news for CBD entering into the mainstream toothpaste market.
