Tinctures may be a viable alternative for those who don’t want to smoke or vape

Cannabidiol (CBD) is an amazing cannabinoid. Found naturally in hemp and marijuana, it has been unequivocally identified as an effective treatment for a number of ailments, from pain to cancer to Alzheimer’s. Smoking or vaping marijuana can provide its benefits, to a certain degree, but many consider these options to not be the healthiest solutions. Fortunately, there are other methods available and tinctures are rapidly becoming one of the most common for pain and anxiety relief.

A tincture is a liquid extract made from herbs that is taken orally. They are often extracted in alcohol, but can also be extracted in non-alcohol solutions such as apple cider vinegar or vegetable glycerin. Many tests have already shown that taking CBD orally through tinctures not only helps to deliver the required results rapidly, but does not cause any secondary health issues.

Rubbing creams and lotions infused with CBD on a sore joint or muscle will also produce results, but not to the extent of tinctures. Tinctures will often provide a higher dose and these levels are the basis for the majority of the studies that have been conducted to date.

There is now a variety of options available when it comes to tinctures. Charlotte’s Web offers Hemp Extract Oil that provides 25mg of CBD per serving – or more if ordered. It comes in a mint chocolate flavor to make its use more palatable. There are also drops offered by Tasty Drops, which come in flavors such as spearmint, berry or vanilla, and which offer 300mg or 1,000mg of CBD, depending on the product.

Using the drops is simple. Simply apply a couple of drops under the tongue and you will find relief for a variety of afflictions, including pain, muscle spasms, insomnia and anxiety.
