The company is the first in the cannabis industry to sponsor a major celebrity event
CannaTrac found the perfect niche to fill, becoming the leading cashless payment solution for the cannabis industry. Now, it has its sights set on mingling with the celebrities and has announced that it is the first cannabis company to become a sponsor of red carpet events, including the Oscars, the Grammies, The LA Metro Fashion Week and the Golden Globes.
The sponsorship deal comes via a partnership with In-Stand Media. CannaTrac will be providing branded sponsorship unique to each event it chooses to sponsor, with the branding involving logo placement, swag bag placement, venue signage and more.
According to a statement by Cannatrac’s vice chairman and CEO, Thomas Gavin IV, “CannaTrac is incredibly humbled and excited to be the first cannabis-related business to ever sponsor a red carpet event. Through these sponsorship opportunities, we intend to raise awareness regarding the challenges facing banking within the cannabis industry. I am passionate about bringing safety and payment simplicity to the industry and promoting the active, dynamic lifestyle of our CannaCard members.”
The VP of Sales and Marketing for In-Stand, Adam Longaker, adds, “As the cannabis industry continues to grow in popularity across the U.S., we recognized the need to include a cannabis company in our red carpet planning moving forward. We chose to work with CannaTrac for the company’s innovative approach, leadership and dedication to improving the industry. We anticipate the success and strength of this relationship moving forward.”
This is yet another example of how cannabis is becoming part of mainstream life. Ten years ago, no one would have thought anything related to cannabis or marijuana could be associated with the Oscars – the time’s are changing.
