Less than an hour and you can have an awesome weekend treat ready to be enjoyed
Sweets and cannabis are sure a good combination. The first edibles that contained cannabis were of a sweet nature, and cooking them doesn’t represent a big challenge. If you are more of a sweet tooth and want to have something to eat after a meal, these cannabis rice crispy treats are a great homemade option.
Marijuana Rice Crispy Treats
Preparation time: 45 minutes
Yields: 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan cut in 15 pieces.
-3 T of cannabutter (you can buy it or prepare it yourself.
-About 10 ounces or 40 regular marshmallows, or 4 cups of miniature marshmallows.
-6 C of rice crispy cereal.
First, in a large saucepan, melt the cannabutter on low heat. Once melted, add the marshmallows and stir until melted. Once you are done, remove from heat. While the mixture is warm, add the rice crispy cereal and start stirring until it is all well coated. With a buttered spatula or wax paper, start pressing the mixture into a pan (the recommended size is 13 x 9 x 2 inches) previously coated with cooking spray. Let the spread mixture cool and then cut into two-inch squares. They can be stored for a few days, but they taste the best if eaten the same day.
This recipe can also be made in a microwave if you are more into easy cooking. Add the butter and marshmallows to a microwave-safe bowl and put it on HIGH for three minutes, but stop and stir at minute two. After the three minutes, continue stirring until the mixture is smooth and then follow the previous steps of pressing the mixture into a pan.
